I’ve recently been working on a small side project to make it simple to bookmark the interesting things I come across around the web, and then share them with you here in a blog post or two.

You can actually play with an alpha version of the service yourself at halfbite.com (and I’m looking forward to writing more about some of the tech behind the scenes, such as how I used chatGPT to write both the Chrome extension and the Firefox add on as well as how the API runs off of server-less micro services.)

But for now - I just wanted to share some of the actual content that I’ve been collecting to share with each of you…this first share is a random collection of the things I’ve found interesting recently…hopefully you’ll all get some value out of it all as well:

First up, a great video quickly running through some things you can do with AI today.

I'm pretty excited about the Falcons chances this year. I think we should get to the bye with only 3 or 4 losses and expect the team to make the playoffs this year.

Digital Plague Draining Ad Budgets
Today we're diving into the murky underbelly of the internet, where the insatiable hunger for ad dollars mated with the blissful ignorance of programmatic traders to give birth to a Frankenstein-like creature: Made-for-Advertising (MFA) websites. These sites, designed to siphon off paid media dollars while sidelining quality content and user experience…

The info on the scam is super interesting, but perhaps of even more interest is the tech. details on how the author automated the screenshots used in the article.

  • The best free game making tools

As a developer I always like staying up to date on game engine options (and what tools are trending in that world).

If you're interested in starting businesses, this is 1,000% worth the one hour of your time.

  • Editorial – Read-Only Memory

I'm excited to read all of these at some point (hopefully soon).

Icons are one of the low hanging fruit use-cases of AI generated images people can already get a ton of value out of.

One Useful Thing
A guide to prompting AI (for what it is worth)
Whenever I open up Twitter, I am exposed to a new breed of hustle — the “prompt influencer” — promising me that 99% of people use GPT wrong and that they will provide the secret prompts that, if I use them in ChatGPT, will vanquish evil and make me a million dollars…

Yet another guide to creating prompts for AI

  • Prompt engineering techniques with Azure OpenAI - Azure OpenAI Service

Prompt engineering is a hot topic right now -- I'm not sure if it's the new programming OR just a result of a moment in time right now.

  • The Ultimate Battle of Language Models: Lit-LLaMA vs GPT3.5 vs Bloom vs … - Lightning AI

A good list of LLMs currently available for people to actually use.

  • Google’s Bard AI chatbot can now help you code and create functions for Google Sheets

It's already hard to keep up with advancing AI tech, and it's only going to get harder to figure out the hype from the hope.
